Turntables

Yale’s turntables enable bogies and wheelsets to be transferred between roads within maintenance facilities. The turntable will normally be fitted with double cross rails, allowing it to move on the wheel running surface.

Operation of the turntable can be either manual, with a removable push handle, or electrically powered as required. A manual latch is normally fitted to hold the turntable in position when lined up with the workshop rails.

The turntable design can allow for the low speed rollover of complete rail vehicles within the depot. It is supplied with central low friction taper roller slew bearings with outer support wheels, an anti-slip top plate with access cover for bearings and slew drive, foundation bolts and an outer wheel track.
