These actuators are suitable for numerous applications both indoors and out The driving elements work in every mounting position and also in adverse climatic conditions. All ELA actuators consist of a fully encapsulated aluminium housing with worm gear pairs and axial bearing, standard-fitted DC/AC motor, plus a thrust and shaft tube construction.

The basis of the ELA lifting cylinders are robust trapezoidal screws that work in self-locking mode from standstill and withstand hard knocks, impacts and vibrations without any problems. For applications that involve positioning and control, or for highly dynamic lift adjustments, the ELA series with ball screws is available, which achieve a higher efficiency. These linear actuators are absolutely maintenance-free, are designed to be a highly robust and have a lifetime lubrication with a high-grade lubricant. Without having to modify the encapsulated design, multiple additional variants for lift limitation are possible, or, optionally by fitting external limit switch rods, inductive limit switches or reed contacts.
