Yale Engineering Products (Pty) Ltd exhibited at the recent Railways and Harbours Conference and Exhibition. Products on display included lifting gear such as track jacks and depot equipment used for the manufacture and maintenance of suburban coaches, locomotives and wagons. A highlight in the Yale range continues to be its re-railing equipment. This is ideal for the safe recovery of derailed rolling stock. Yale also offers manual, mechanical re-railing systems designed by Osaka Jacks, which have traversing beds.
For the rolling stock manufacturer, Yale offers wagon rotators. These are able to turn a wagon through 360˚, allowing access to the underframe for purposes of welding, rivetting or painting. These rotators can handle 17 tons a side and a span of up to 20 metres. In addition, Yale Engineering Products now offer a range of harbour quayside cranes.
